100 Year Plan
100 Year Plan
Let face it–a 2-4 year political planning cycle is outdated and ineffective leading to short sightedness and wasteful energies being expended toward election battles.
The only way to truly effect positive and enduring change is to have a long term plan and implement against that long-term plan.
iC’s 100 Year Plan will feature a progressive and integrated approach toward implementing iC’s long term objectives.
The first step will be to define core values with the goal of striking a balance between the needs of man and the planet that sustains us. Core values shall include;
- Promoting sustainable business and personal solutions
- Promoting the arts, culture, and nature
- Promoting well-being over competition (i.e. quality over quantity approaches)
From iC’s core values; laws, tax structures, educational campaigns, and educational curriculums will be established to meet iC’s objectives over the next 100 years.
Each of these key elements will be incrementally implemented over the next 2-3 generations. For instance;
- Laws and taxes will be changed over the next 3-15 years to allow an orderly transition from current technologies to new technologies (for instance; transitioning from combustion engines to electrical engines)
- Changes to curriculums shall be progressively staged such that students currently in school will only see a gradual change to existing curriculums (i.e. a ‘bumpless transfer’) whereas new students (aka kindergarteners) will start out with the ‘next stage’ curriculums to accelerate the ‘new’ learning process.
Here are 10 potential elements of iC’s 100-Year Plan, designed to
promote enduring and positive change:
1. Core Value Definition
– Objective: Establish clear, foundational values for the
next century, balancing the needs of humanity with the planet’s sustainability.
These values will prioritize sustainable practices, cultural and natural
preservation, and human well-being over competition.
– Focus: Long-term sustainability, culture, quality of life.
2. Progressive Legal Framework
– Objective: Develop and implement new laws over the next 15
years that encourage sustainability, responsible business practices, and
environmental stewardship. These will gradually replace outdated regulations,
ensuring a smooth transition toward eco-friendly technologies and practices.
– Focus: Law reform, sustainability, environmental
stewardship.
3. Tax Structure Reform
– Objective: Introduce new tax policies that incentivize
sustainable behavior and penalize wasteful or destructive practices. These
changes will be phased in over several decades to allow industries and
individuals time to adapt.
– Focus: Tax reform, sustainability incentives.
4. Sustainable Technology Transition
– Objective: Plan the transition from outdated, polluting
technologies to sustainable alternatives. This includes phasing out combustion
engines in favor of electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles and promoting
renewable energy solutions.
– Focus: Green technology, transportation, energy
sustainability.
5. Educational Reform and Curriculum Changes
– Objective: Implement gradual changes in educational
systems to foster a generation of citizens who prioritize sustainability,
creativity, and global awareness. Over time, new curriculums will be introduced
in primary schools, promoting environmental responsibility and critical
thinking.
– Focus: Education reform, future generations, environmental
awareness.
6. Art, Culture, and Nature Preservation Initiatives
– Objective: Establish programs to promote and protect the
arts, culture, and nature, ensuring their continued relevance and value in
society. Cultural and natural preservation will be emphasized through public
education, funding, and national policies.
– Focus: Cultural
preservation, nature conservation.
7. Global Cooperation on Climate Change
– Objective: Foster international cooperation to combat
climate change, ensuring that countries work together on global sustainability
efforts. The 100-Year Plan will include global summits, treaties, and
collaborative projects to mitigate environmental damage.
– Focus: Climate change, international collaboration.
8. Long-Term Social Well-Being Programs
– Objective: Promote well-being through social planning
initiatives that de-emphasize competition and prioritize mental, physical, and
emotional health. Initiatives will encourage balanced living, reduced stress,
and focus on holistic well-being.
– Focus: Mental health, well-being, holistic living.
9. Sustainable Economic Models
– Objective: Shift global economic models toward more
sustainable, circular economies. The plan will reduce reliance on growth-based
capitalism and instead promote systems where resources are reused, recycled,
and shared within local economies.
– Focus: Economic sustainability, circular economy.
10. Monitoring & Adapting the Plan
– Objective: Create a system to monitor the success of the
100-Year Plan, allowing adjustments as circumstances evolve. Regular reviews
every decade will ensure that goals are being met and that policies adapt to
new challenges.
– Focus: Flexibility, long-term monitoring, adaptability.
