A key habit toward reducing consumption is localizing. The goal being only buying and using things as close to your home (and in your immediate community) to the maximize extent practical.
To this end, i-Citizen’s strive to only buy locally grown foods and produced products.
How do we achieve these objectives? Easy—just interact with and buy as much as you can from your local community.
General Do’s:
- Shop at locally owned and operated ‘mom and pop’ shops
- Go to local farmer’s markets
General Don’ts:
- Don’t buy from the Internet
- Don’t buy from large agglomerates
