Modern society has relegated the arts and deep intellect (i.e. gaining wisdom) pursuits to the point of being irrelevant. Social programs and educational funding shall restore the arts and intellect as prime pursuits (Ted Talks are a great example of how people are drawn to higher order things and great ideas).

• Reestablish intellectual excellence as a desirable and worthwhile pursuit.
• Establish programs and competitions for intellectual pursuits beyond the scope of spelling bee contests.
• Add more subjects on creativity as a balance against the ‘hard’ studies of math/history/science.
• Stress gaining awareness of the world’s interconnectivity to help temper over consumption.
• Establish wonder in the natural world over wonder in ‘new technology’.
• Teacher workshops that stress creative learning over linear, cookbook teaching styles.
• Further science by questioning science and sponsoring resistance free discussions

Establish ethics–to both human and nature, as the cornerstones of science.
